Vivienne and her husband, Gary Mathews founded Alpina Tax & Accounting in 2017. It was the result of over 20 years of relationships with other CPA's she met in the financial planning journey of her practice. In 2016 She formed a new firm to purchase one of those practices, Gerald Pepper, CPA. In 2021 she purchased another tax practice from a 20+ year relationship, Saul B. Lipson & Co. Vivienne started her own firm in 1991 consulting with small businesses and preparing tax returns. in 1994 she bacame a fully licensed CPA. In 1995, the first year CPAs were allowed to obtain a securities license, Vivienne obtained her securities licenses as well as her insurance licenses. Her career long goal was to provide full financial services under one roof to all her clients.. In Although she leaves the daily operation of the tax practice to Carie Pace and her team, she continues to provide the support and resources needed to better serve our tax and financial planning clients today and beyond. Vivienne still works closely with Jerry Pepper, Saul Lipson and the entire team to make sure our clients receive the best experience possible.

Carie is the Managing Partner at Alpina Tax & Accounting Services, overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to clients. With over 20 years in accounting and business management, she provides strategic direction and leads the team with a focus on efficiency, integrity, and long-term growth. Outside of work, she is passionate about animal rescue and dedicates her free time to fostering and supporting local animal welfare initiatives.

"Jerry" as he is affectionately known to his clients, has been a licensed CPA for over 50 years! Jerry specializes in a variety of solutions including tax planning, tax preparation, compilations, audits, reviews and IRS issues. He uses his expertise to achieve his clients goals. In his spare time, Jerry loves to travel and spend time with his children and grandchildren.
